Celebrating 90 Years Of Service

WCVFD 1948 Post WWII

Today, this is our Fireman's Clubroom located on Broadway Street and, not seen in photo, our current firehouse and meeting room would be to the left. The building in this photo remained the firehouse until our current one was erected in 1959. The Equipment shown in photo to far left is our 1941 Chevrolet/Darley Pumper and to right the 1947 Diamond T Squad Truck. Stewart Steck would have served as Fire Chief at this time with many dedicated members including a Ladies Auxiliary.
